Jayhawk Motorsports was founded in 1994 by a group of six KU mechanical engineers. Since then, JMS has grown into developing a combustion driven racecar. The team is comprised of over 40 students. Jayhawk Motorsports is a unique organization as it includes students from all engineering majors as well as students from across the university. This year we have approximately 20 mechanical engineering seniors, 2 engineering physics seniors, and 1 aerospace engineering senior working to design and build our car.
