Since the backup camera and backup warning and compass, etc, use that same fuse, this causes those things to stop working. Replacing or disconnecting the blind spot detection sensors (and replacing fuse M34) takes care of the problem, in this case. There are you tube videos available that will show you how to take the plastic panels from the rear door to access the camera. There were 4 screws holding the camera together.
