The S&W has an excellent trigger, both SA and DA. To an untrained eye, the S&W 586 and Colt Python look much alike. They are both attractive six-shot SA/DA large frame revolvers, chambered in .357 magnum/.38 Special, both with 4" barrels, both nickel plated, both wearing wood stocks.

Try googling "Python rib scope mounts", or similar. There were several companies (B-Square?) who made optic mounts that clamped on the ventilated rib. I have similar on my HS .22 Victor's rib, and the mount works well. Might have to measure / compare vent rib dimensions between Python & KC.
