A lot of bosses and enemies can be slept with not much effort if you use the right stuff (St trina sword, sleep pots, etc), and while not all can be open for a crit afterwards, it's still a good opening to heal/attack. In PvP sleep can be stacked fast too for an almost guaranteed win after it procs. Super effective against Godskins.
