What I ended up doing was using devmode with godmode to set relationship to lover, max every need, try for pregnancy setting and wait every night (if nothing occurred: reduced sleep-need and skipped about 12 hours. Rinse and repeat). With godmode there's an option to advance a pregnancy stage all the way to labor, which is useful.

In Rimworld, you generally only have a dozen or more colonists with campaigns that rarely last more then 5 to 7 years.
