For silver there’s the silver mine south of Sepermeru. You only have to fight some scorpions and one trip gives you silver for days. To harvest gold you will need to go to that route which goes from ice straight up to the volcano. You will see obsidian left and right while walking up to the first bridge of the volcano. Harvest it, it has a good chance to drop gold.
