From there it should hold pressure and the pump should run while cranking to keep pressure to the system. Put a little fuel starter in inlet to carb (remove air cleaner, spray a few seconds, place filter back on then try starting). I bought a new battery. Stock was 14ah battery, I installed a 21ah battery. The motor still turns over slow. And sometimes will not turn over at all.

Remove one of the coils from the spark plug. Use an extra spark plug. A spark plug tester. Or even a screwdriver in the end of the coil. Ground it on a piece of metal on the engine. Finally, have someone crank the engine and watch for a spark. No spark indicates an ignition problem.
