I had set the trip odometer the day I bought it and it's averaging almost 17, including some mild camper towing. Tank to tank I'm seeing better than 18 with regens.

No major, recurring issues with the first generation of L5P trucks. One of the most common is the coolant tank sensor going bad. Another thing that owners have noticed is the TMAP sensor getting caked with soot and causing other issues. Other than that it's a solid platform and highly recommended.

If you are set on different filtration you need to get a take off adapter, lines and a remote filter mount (and kiss the warranty goodbye).
