When you have everything you need to make your money lei, it’s time to get crafting! The first step is to take each $1 bill (or higher if you’re a big spender!) and fold it in half. Then fold it in half again. Then fold it in half a third time. When you have folded it a third time, unravel it.
Step 2: Create the Base Lei. Cut a long piece of ribbon. Make a loop at one end of the ribbon. Thread the folded currency notes onto the ribbon, alternating the directions. Continue adding folded notes until you reach the desired length.
