I have a 2010 John Deere X300 that needs the transmission V idler pulley replaced.. I heard how much work replacing the belt was and I was hoping there is an easy way for me to replace the pulley with removing the belt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you..
May 6, 2016 · The steering needs to be disconnected, a spring needs to come off. The PTO clutch needs to come off. The belt needs to be routed around the deck height arm. It's not hard, but alot of steps. The plate where the pulleys are located needs to be dropped to gain room to replace the pulleys. Even the manual is far from step by step.
