Dual Clutch Transmission Problems. This is my first post here, but I'm a reader of this forum since 2016, the year that I bought my 2015 Honda CTX700n DCT. Last Thursday I went to a quick commute, 12 miles, getting close to my destination I stopped at an intersection and then I realize the 4th gear was selected.

The 420AT was the first automatic to use a shift motor like the ES models. The Older auto machines seem to have fewer problems than the ES. Honda Rancher Transmission Problems. My 2008 Rancher quit shifting so I took it to my dealer last fall. It had stripped some teeth off of the shift modulator and also had some water in it. He replaced the damaged parts but can't get it to shift electrically. It will shift with the manual gear changer so everything is fine mechanically.Cause 4: Too Heavy or Gummed-up Grease in the Shift Motor Gears.
