Vizio firmware update stuck.
It’s on perfectly fine internet and still nothing. I’ve tried soft reset, power cycle, and factory reset. It got to the point where even the VIZIO APP WOULDN’T CAST YOUTUBE TV TO THE TV. I’ve tried to update it 80 million times but it never actually updates. It either just doesn’t reset, or gets stuck.
The updates are rather large and not only can your WiFi speed cause delays, but the Vizio servers as well. My tv took at least 5-6 update cycles on first boot and every bit of 30 minutes or so. It works fine, except that the firmware is stuck on a very old version that has some crippling issues. My original TV had the same issues until a firmware update fixed it a couple weeks later. The firmware version it came with is 2.1.0.4, where-as the Vizio site suggests 10.0.31.4-2 or 10.0.36.2-5 is current.
