Aug 7, 2014 · Hello Dell-Ravi, I loaded defaults in the Bios, rebooted, and no change. Still get the same initial message about the battery being too hot and the lights continue to blink 4/1 Amber/white. I also removed/reinserted the second battery with Windows running just to make sure the same Windows pop-up about the battery being the wrong type occurred. The pattern is 1 amber blink followed by 4 white blinks, which doesn't appear to correspond to any of the documented patterns ( https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en …Dell XPS13 - 2 Amber blinks, then 4 white. No POST. Brand new, out of box. Tried to power on then 2 amber blinks, 4 white. Got from Microsoft store, might have them exchange it. Is this an easy fix though? If so and since the system is a corporate owned unit, take it back to IT for their assistance.
