Jan 24, 2012 · Yes, you can use a 4.25" stroker crank for a 351W in a 400. However, you need a specific timing chain set that is made just for this swap. You CANNOT mix and match components to "make your own" set because the 351W crank sprocket has a different tooth count. I run a Windsor 4" forged crank in my 400 so it can be done.

im thinking this is probably in a 4wd. the trans bolt pattern is the same as a 429\460 which is a much better engine. i would try to find this engine and replace the 400.
