I've tried various setups, and it does a great job running on a raspberry pi 4. So for fun, I rigged this ugly duckling together and works just as expected.

The only scenario I can come up with currently is the assignments are dispatched on CLMRN, the station houses assigned will acknowledge the assignment, meaning all firehouses have a CLMRN base station, (the dispatch assignment transmission on CLMRN will include which channel to operate on their current EDACS system)… and the responding ...VHF mobiles remain in vehicles as a back up, but dispatch is now on TG 18601, the TAC channel is 18602.
