The projectiles used in subsonic .300 AAC Blackout loads usually weigh between 180- and 220-grains. This added weight makes them naturally slower than a 110-grain bullet fired through the same barrel, even if the heavier bullets are charged with the same type and amount of gunpowder as a corresponding supersonic load.

Loaded a dummy round to set COL at 2.20 I know the max is 2.260 but this round looks really long. It’s not even close to the cannelure. I measured some american eagle 150 factory and it’s much shorter.

I have been using 110 grain Vmax and 115 grain Lehigh Controlled Chaos. So far I think they have been good options. I would like to keep it around the $0.50/bullet range as I can shoot a lot if I get into a big group.
