This should be normal as traction was lost on the right side. No problem. Later the ECS light came on and stayed. I cycled the ignition switch as called for in the OM. The light stayed off.

A Orange 4wd light (sometimes blinking) means you have a problem and 4wd is disabled. The "normal" 4wd light (white/bleu) meaning the 4wd is active but in a patriot it's always active. It only decides the force/traction differently with the 4wd on. If it's the second one than undo the 2 screws in the armrest box and pull the armrest backwards.

Tighten it, then give it a day or 2 for the light to go off. I had it happen a few times as well when I overfilled the tank.
