What worked for me is changing the output source FFXIV uses. My headset has a game mode and chat mode, and it outputting to the chat mode produced a horrible static and caused the game to crash in directx 11. Switching it to game mode fixed all those issues and let me launch normally. 3.FFXIV is the only application affected by this, every other program continues on just fine. It starts with what sounds like a pop and then cuts out.
