My preference is heavy-for-caliber, so I use 147gr in 9mm. Of those two, I'd get the 124gr. With 115gr you have to be very careful about load selection, as even generally excellent designs like Gold Dot and HST tend to underpenetrate in that weight class. I surely wouldn't count on a 115gr XTP.This is exacerbated with a tall dot. FWIW--I started with 124gr then gave 500 147gr a go, thought they made the slide feel sluggish, so I went back to 124gr, saw the 135gr got 500 of them shot'em and really liked them. The 135gr shot as accurate as the 124gr, the recoil felt softer, and the slide felt fast enough.
